Cerro del Molinete

Cartagena, Spain

Cerro del Molinete is a hill in the centre of Cartagena where the Carthaginian general Hasdrubal is thought to have built his citadel in the 3rd century BC. Today it is an archaeological park with the Roman forum quarter at its foot, including baths and a large atrium building, and Punic and Roman remains on the summit. It also gives the best view over Cartagena and its harbour.
