The Porta Nigra is the best-preserved Roman city gate north of the Alps, four storeys high and open to climb; the Imperial Baths keep tall brick walls above a network of service tunnels you can walk through; the amphitheatre, built for about 20,000 people, still has the cellar where animals and prisoners waited beneath the arena. All three are walkable from the station, and the Antikencard covers several in one ticket.
