A three-hour guided walk covers the Siq, the Treasury and the colonnaded street; longer guided hikes take the back trail to the Monastery or climb Mount Aaron, and early photography walks beat the coach groups from Amman and Aqaba. Golf-cart tours suit limited mobility, Petra by Night runs on some evenings, and Little Petra, 8 km north, is free to enter.
