UNESCO World Heritage sites in Italy

Italian World Heritage sites in this ranking are ordered by tours sold, and four of the top ten fall under a single listing, the Historic Centre of Rome: the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and Palatine, the Baths of Caracalla and the Circus Maximus. Pompeii, by far the most booked, shares its inscription with Herculaneum and Villa Oplontis at Torre Annunziata. The Appian Way was added only in 2024 as Via Appia, Regina Viarum. The Verona Arena is listed as part of the City of Verona, and Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli on its own.
