UNESCO World Heritage sites in Greece

Ordered by tours sold, Greece's UNESCO entries put the Acropolis of Athens and Knossos well ahead of the rest. Knossos, Phaistos and the Palace of Malia were inscribed together as the Minoan Palatial Centres, so one listing accounts for three entries on Crete. Mycenae shares its listing with Tiryns, and the Theatre of Epidaurus is part of the Sanctuary of Asklepios. Delos is reached only by boat, mostly from Mykonos, which keeps numbers down; Aigai at Vergina and Philippi in northern Greece get far fewer tours than the Peloponnese.
